Hormone Journal

About Hormone Journal

Hormone Journal is an independent health knowledge base covering hormone replacement therapy, endocrine health, and telemedicine access across the United States and Canada.

We publish long-form comparative guides that evaluate treatment platforms, explain clinical mechanisms, and help readers make informed decisions about their hormonal health.

Editorial Process

Every article published on Hormone Journal follows a structured editorial workflow:

Research and drafting. Articles begin with a review of peer-reviewed literature (PubMed, NIH, clinical society guidelines) and primary source material from the platforms and services being evaluated. We contact platforms directly when pricing, availability, or clinical protocols are unclear from public sources.

Source standards. We require a minimum of 7 external sources per article, with at least 50% from clinical or institutional sources (peer-reviewed journals, medical society guidelines, hospital system publications). We do not accept sponsored content or affiliate-driven recommendations. No single commercial entity may account for more than 20% of an article's source citations.

Medical accuracy review. All health claims are cross-referenced against peer-reviewed research and current clinical guidelines from organizations including the Endocrine Society, the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Mayo Clinic. Where evidence is mixed or emerging, we state limitations explicitly.

Balanced evaluation. Platform reviews include both strengths and limitations. We disclose pricing ranges, geographic availability constraints, and clinical scope limitations. Comparison tables use real platform names — not anonymized placeholders.

Ongoing verification. Articles include a "Last Verified" date. We re-verify pricing, availability, and clinical claims on a quarterly basis and update articles when information changes.

Medical Disclaimer

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting, changing, or stopping any hormone therapy or medical treatment. Individual health decisions should be based on your specific medical history, current conditions, and provider recommendations.

Independence and Conflicts of Interest

Hormone Journal has no financial relationships with the platforms or services evaluated in our articles. We do not accept payment for coverage, and platform inclusion is based on editorial relevance, not commercial agreements. If this policy changes, we will disclose it here.
